I have heard in some circles that liquid or powder vitamins are more easily absorbed than pills or capsules. Any thoughts on this? Any ideas on quality liquid/powder vitamins that don't cost an arm and a leg? Thanks! Dave

I don't think there is anything to this. Some vitamins are in liquid form when you buy them unmixed with others A, D & E, others aren’t. Try putting a vitamin pill in water and it will quickly dissolve. Imagine what your stomach acid will do. In same cases you don't want a quick absorption, as your body can't accumulate the vitamin in one large dose but needs smaller doses over the day (C vitamin).

Just thought I would add I do get some of my vitamins in powder and liquid form, and can save some money. The production costs are much lower if the vitamins aren’t in a capsule/pill.

I think for certain people, there is evidence that liquid/powder vitamins are absorbed more quickly. In other words, I think for people with a problem absorbing vitamins, the other might provide a benefit in that regard.
As a side note, I take a liquid supplement (I have trouble swallowing pills), and I love mine.
