I have recently been diagnosed by a psychologist that i have dsyspraxia, but it wasn't too much of a suprise
one of my problems is i think i might have more complicated similar problems and i suspect i might be possibly somewhere on the autistic spectrum
I'm trying to sort out someone to help me find out either way, my psychologist leaves any day now and i'm not sure when or even if i get another even thou i need one still for lots of reasons
i've been in touch with "donna williams and she may help with an email consultation
i have always felt trapped in my own world and it has caused many problems
but i felt it at such ayoung age that it has to be developmental not just illness
having trouble getting my other staff members to take this concern seriously and i'm getting very frustrated in my world but when i read things written by autistic people i feel so able to understand
do any of u know what i should do or am i imaging a problem that not there

i've spoken to my mental health social worker and my ex shrink and they both said they can see some of the reasons i think i'm on the autistic spectrum and this is a very good reason to want a replacement psychologist and possibly i they think i may have aspergers,
its such a relief not to be dismissed as being down to my being crazy and they are actually believing and giving it some consideration
if i had a label then may be knowing what i'm dealing with will help me handle it better and i'll get some appropriate help
hoping to talk to my pschologist who's leaving but haven't managed to get hold of him but he knows i'm trying to, to ask his opinion, but he diagnosed the dyspraxia so i know he will do what he can to get me appropriatelly assessed but may have to wait quite a while to get a new one and it really getting to me not knowing and trying to explain my reasons for believing i'm somewhere autistic,
anyone else out there whos an adult trying to get diagnosed

spoke to my psychologist who also thinks it very possible i may have aspergers he is going to get me details on a local support group asked my consultant psychiatrist about a referral for a assessment he will get back to me went to the dsypraxia adult support group on Saturday it was very comforting to meet other people with that donna williams has agreed to give me her opinion on if i am on the autistic spectrum
when i've got a label at least then i know what i have to cope with, but i'm already convinced i may have aspergers syndrome
waiting for a book to be published on mental health/psychiatric disorders and autism/aspergers the book warehouse are to let me know when there's a release date
