I just have acouple questions. You can answer them if you want.
1- How did you find out your child is/was autistic?
2- How did you react?
3- Do you think its alot harder than raising a "normal" child?
4- How old is your child now?
Thanks in advance!! :)

1- How did you find out your child is/was autistic? Actually it was my son's ECC teacher that brought it to my attention. Then after a 6 month wait, we got him in to see a Developmental and Behavioral Doctor and they made an inital diagnosis of HFA.
2- How did you react? Believe it or not, relief. Since I had 6 months to prepare, I was not shocked at all. All I wanted to do and still want to do is help him to be as normal of a child as he can be.
3- Do you think its alot harder than raising a "normal" child? To be honest with you, I do not know what it is like to raise a "normal" child. Since I know no different, then I would have to say no.
4- How old is your child now? 7 and I have a 5 year old who is ADHD and ODD
Thanks in advance!! :)
