Hi my names kira,15. I have been dealing with IBS for the past year and im now on donnatal and amitriptyline and doing vitamins, but since i do get those sick days that are really groggy and i just feel sick, i was thinking of taking a probiotic. My colonist recommended FloraMax, but im a little scared to try it. Has anybody tried this probiotic before? What was it like? Did you feel sick after taking it?
Thanks-Kira

Hi, I've been taking probiotics for a very long time. I've found them to help me tremendously with stomach problems, yeast etc.. I've tried a lot of brands but lately(past year or so) have been using a brand by FLORA(not sure if that is the same thing you are mentioning?) It is Super 8, I also take UDO's oil by FLORA and love them both!!A little more expensive but in the long run I believe to be a wayy better quality than some of the other brands I've tried. If anyone knows of a better brand I will give that a try too:) Hope I helped a little. Thanks

I’m a new memberand would like to make a comment on your question, albeit a little late. I don’t believe in taking any form of drug, but I do take organic and natural supplements, not synthetic vitamins. I do take probiotics acidophilus and bifidus, which seem to keep most ailments at bay.

I find today’s lifestyle and environment make it almost impossible to avoid factors that disturb the body’s delicate bacterial ecosystem. Things like stress, antacids, antibiotics, poor diet, pesticides, and chlorine in drinking water are just some of the factors that can destroy the beneficial flora that normally flourish in the intestinal tract.
Probiotics from supplements scatter in the digestive tract to compete against the harmful bacteria in the intestine, helping to maintain the healthy natural balance of intestinal micro flora. Hope this helps with your decision. It helps sometimes just to understand what’s going on. I wouldn't be without these two natural probiotics.
