I'm new to this board and feel like I've just stumbled into somebody's pajama party http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

Anyway, I've noticed some grey hair but don't like hair dyes or coloring my hair. I like my natural color (medium brown with lovely red highlights that look like a new penny when the sun hits it) so I don't really want to cover it. I don't have enough grey to justify dying it but would like to do something other than pulling them out. As I said, I'm not crazy about any kind of hair coloring whether it's all-over color or highlights. What do you guys do? I don't want to damage my hair with color, but then again, I can't help but be a little jealous when I see Lisa Presley's hair, or Paula Abdul's hair, and I know they color theirs because they both have naturally very dark hair and they look beautiful. How do you get hair like that short of hiring their stylists?

To be honest, I color my hair and highlight it also. I don't do this myself I go to a stylist. I've been doing this for years with no problems. Actually, it gives my hair body.

Before I decided to go lighter, I used semi-permanent for years with great results. Like it says, it only covers the gray if you match your color. The rest of your hair keeps the highlights and color variations you can't get with a permanent color, it dyes it all the same color. Plus, my hair felt softer and looked shiner and no roots. Try a little lighter shade to add even more depth to your natural color, have fun!
