I woke up Saturday feeling great (9 months into menopause). I went to the grocery and while shopping, my arm started itching. Then I started itching on my ankles, my forehead, my arms. I thought I was going insane. It was very difficult to finish my errands. I went home and took benedryl which stopped the itching and relaxed my but then I wanted to go to sleep and I couldn't as I had to go to an award ceremony for my niece. The point? During this time of my life, I am not going to commit to any social occasions for some time. I never know from moment to moment when I going to become dysfunctional.

Funny coincidence. I was just myself scratching to pieces last night...but then I couldn't sleep. I'm in peri and this is a new & AGGRAVATING symptom. Finally my hubby had pity on me and rubbed me down with an analgesic with a lot of lavender & alcohol in it. It soothed me enough to get some sleep.
One woman at preschool this morning asked if I had poison ivy -- I guess it WAS noticeable :o .
So sorry you're experiencing this one too. Glad the benedryl worked for you!

I too have had the itchiness again, my arms, legs, ankles, top of my feet, back, and sometimes Iwill have a tiny little rash or bumps with it. I've also noticed that my skin is losing alot of elasticity, among slightly more wrinkley and dry and I just drink lotion.
