View Full Version : styling question

I gave in today and after 10 months, I got my hair cut. I had 5 inches taken off. It's about shoulder length and layered. Most girls with this style have the ends flip out a bit. I don't know how to explain this, but hopefully someone knows what I mean. The layers around the face don't flip out, but just the longest layer does. How do you get your hair to do this? Thanks! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

Did the stylist cut your hair to flip out ouround your face? If not, you might go back and see if they can do a no-charge touch up of the style-- most stylists will be happy to do so if it will make you want to return to them the next time.

Also, you can try using a curling iron to get the same effect. Curl the ends of the hair you want to flip out under -- yeah I know that sound wrong, but trust me -- and then use a brush to turn the hair up.

Good luck!

Hey there,

I think a curling iron might work - but this might work better:
Try getting one of those really fat circular brushes and roll the ends of your hair with it and blow dry it like that. That's how I used to flip my ends out when my hair was short and it worked well. Make sure your hair is already dry or damp and this will work great!

Hope this helps and good luck!
