I know, I know- you're all wondering how'd I wash it out if it's so waterproof. Hear me out, though.

I'm getting ready to go on my honeymoon to the Caribbean, and my husband and I intend to be in the water a whole bunch. Unfortunately, I have a cowlick of sorts which I normally slick down with some hair gel and blow dry. Whenever I go swimming, however, it pops up. Now, I know I shouldn't worry about it, but the cowlick is very embarrassing for me. I'd prefer to know that it's slicked down to stay so that I can be carefree!

Now that you all know what the heck I'm talking about, does anyone know of a hair gel that stays really, really, really well even when it gets wet? I don't care if I have to use paint thinner to wash it out (just kidding! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/wink.gif), I just want it to stay put!!!

Thanks in advance! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

I don't know the name of it, but I saw a hair gel made for sports. It said something about being waterproof I think. Sorry, I can't remember the name.. but I saw it at Wal-Mart.

I looked for the one at Walmart, but I was in a hurry, so I must've missed it. I'll go back when I have a few more minutes. Thanks for the tip!

If you have a Sally's Beauty Supply near you, just visit and check out the hair gels/cremes. I recently saw a product called "Hair Cement" that may do the trick. I too have a problem with my hair after swimming. My hair looks like crap (really) so I make sure I bring either a baseball cap, straw hat or a nice tortoise shell hairband with me ( plastic kind with little teeth.) As soon as I get out of the ocean/pool, I slide the hairband on or slip on my hat. What's nice about the hairband is you can just jump in the water, get your hair wet, then remove the hairband. The hat's a different story. Mmmmmm.... the Caribbean - have a wonderful time!
