hi, this is my second month on the pill, the second month but just starting the second week, how much of a risk can i get pregnant? i mean has the pill already started to work?

It is usually suggested (depending on who you talk to) waiting 2 - 4 weeks before the pill is effective as the sole birth control method. So you should be fine.

But just remember that if you are ever sick (vomiting or diarrhoea) within 3-4 hours of taking a pill you should class it as a missed pill. And some antibiotics can also affect the efficacy of the pill.

And I guess I should say that there is always the possiblity of getting pregnant even though you are on the pill so be sure you can handle the consequences of this occuring. But I've been relying on the pill alone for a while now and have had no problems :)

You are protected. I was on the pill for 4 yrs I NEVER took it at the same time everyday I just made sure i got 1 in me everyday and I never used a condom. and I didnt' have a problem. Good Luck! Hopefully I was helpful!

This is my second month on the pill also. If I had intercourse while I was on my last period (which was the first month of BC), what are my chances of getting pregnant if he didnt use a condom, but pulled out? I am starting to notice my chest getting a little bigger, and maybe gaining a little weight. I know it sounds like too much information...and I am sorry, but if you have an answer..PLEASE let me kno

the chances of you being pregnant are fairly slim...When you are on your period your egg has exited your body. While sperm can live up to a few days I doubt you are pregnant. I have had unprotected sex on my period many times without the use of birth control and have never had a problem so I think you are fine..just to be sure though you may want to take a pregnancy test to ease your mind.

When would be the right time to take a test? Does it matter when?
