After reading the post on deordorants...I bought Mitchum...it only comes in a gel...I hate gel deordorants...The other popular one was Arrid XXX and that too came in gel...UGH  Does anyone know if these 2 come in any other form than gel? http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dizzy.gif

I have both Mitchem and Arrid xx that is non-gel. Maybe try another store, they are out there!

Where did you get yours from? I went to walmart...and which one do you like better? I'm looking to stay dry and smell good...I am a female that has to wear a tux at work and when I get working...I can sweat up a storm...I'm tired of yellow stains etc...Thanks for any tips :)

I prefer mitchum better, I noticed that arrid xx kinda has a funky smell (I buy unscented). But to get best results, put on certain dry at night, and the deodorant in the morning.
I bought mine at Fred Meyer, but they would also have it at stores like Safeway, Albertsons, etc.

I bought my Mitchum at the grocery store. The one I have isn't a gel, it's actually solid but goes on feeling wet like a roll-on... strange, but it works fairly well.
QweenyBluEyes, where do you buy Certain Dry? Does Wal-Mart carry that?

After showing or taking a bath at night, put Certain Dri on. It'll absorb into your skin as you sleep and it won't wash off in the morning if you do decide to take another shower. Just put your regular deodorant on in the morning and you're good to go. I've been using this for a month now and I have not had one problem with it. Just never put it on after shaving, it stings pretty bad!

My daughter got Dri-sol from the doctor (prescription) because she sweats excessively and you put it on at night (there are more directions, but I've forgotten) and you don't even sweat at all, hence, no yellow stains. I think the more you use it, it builds up to keep you dry. It lasts a very long time and is a roll on.

Houdini, I got my Certain Dri at CVS. I've also seen it at Walgreens, so I'm pretty positive it can be purchased at most drugstores. If you can't find it, I know it can be ordered online. Just do a google search for "Certain Dri" and a website should come up. Good luck! :)

Hi girls...
So what your saying is if you put on this certain-dry at night after a shower/bath...even when you shower in the morning it won't wash off? And you just put on your normal deordorant and go? I think I've seen this as Rite-Aid also. So far I'm liking the Mitchum...just have to finish the gel...yuck hate gel...but I want to try certain-dry with mitchum...
Maryjom...what type of Dr. prescribed Dri-sol for your daughter? Was it a Derm or reg. Dr.?
Thanks girls :)

Hey there,
Certain Dri definitely won't wash off. I was skeptical at first, not knowing if I was wasting my money on this, but this is definitely a wise investment. Sometimes I can go for 2 nights without using it. I have never had so much success with any product. Just be sure to put regular deodorant on in the morning because Certain Dri only stops the moisture from getting out of control.

It's so embarassing to see wet stains under a girls armpits...whether you were a t-shirt or blouse...I have to wear a tux for work and I can sweat up a storm...I'm gonna give this a try...thanks again http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/t_up.gif

Just my imput--Certain Dry SAVED MY LIFE!!! I know just what you mean--its so embarrassing to be a girl with armpit stains, but this stuff is awesome. All you do is put it on before you go to bed and then just wear any kind of regular deoderant that you want so you can still smell good too!! Hope you enjoy!

OH MY GOSH!!! Is Certain Dry supposed to sting like itch in a way? I put it on last night before bed and my underarms were a itchy burning like...then I fell asleep...Am I crazy here? http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/dizzy.gif

Yeah, it does that to me too. Although it didn't do that when I first started using it. Make sure your underarms are clean, and let dry for about 15-30 minutes before putting on the Certain dry. I don't know why I just started getting the itchiness, and not in the beginning...

When I first started using Certain Dri I would get that itchy burning feeling. For me, after a while it went away.

I get the itchiness every once in a while actually, I think its because I get too dry. I looked at my underarms tonight and they looked so dry! It also says this stuff can last for 3 days, so try not to put it on so often.

Finally I have found something that works!! I bought the Certain Dry at Target and it really does the job. I put it on at night then use Secret Platinum in the morning and no sweat! I went today and bought new shirts in all the colors that I normally wouldn't wear because if wet arm pits. Thanks for all your help!
