Hello. Me and hubby are TTC. We have only been trying for 2 months. We have been together for 5 years married for 3 of the 5. :) I have been reading some of the post and I think this is a great site. I have learned alot from so many of the stories and posts.
Does anyone have any tips that may have worked for them. :)

After intercourse my friend said you should place a pillow under your bum so your pelis is slightly raised and put your legs against the wall. This is all ok so long as you have 1/2hr to hr to spare! Thats the only one i know im affraid, good luck to you

Goodluck TTC, the pillow thing is a good tip, I would lay like that for at least a 1/2 hour before getting up. Knowing your cycle is a good way to pinpoint when you are ovulating too, it's roughly 2 weeks after the first day of your last period. I never really charted my temps or discharge, I went by my cycle (I am normally very regular) and I did happen to notice the discharge changes when I would get to my ovulation days, so I just went by that, but there are lots of sites that can help you learn how to chart in more detail. If you do decide to temp, take your temp first think in the morning before eating and even getting out of bed, your temp should be consistant but will rise slightly when you are about to ovulate. Then the next 24-36 hours are the best time to BD. Because I didn't use the temping, that's just going by memory...if I'm wrong someone please post where I made my mistake. If you aren't already taking them it's important to take folic acid or prenatal viatmins ask at the pharmacy what they recommend for TTC. Best of luck, keep us posted.

I actually read on my basal thermometer instructions that alot of people think that your body temp raises just before you ovulate but the truth is that it raises the day you ovulate. So alot of people are mistaken with that. Of course this is just what I read I have never tried to prove it wrong. my doc said the best way to be more accurate is by watching your discharge.

Reading the book Taking Charge Of Your Fertility can help as well. It is by Toni Weschler. It is full of great information and of course tips that increase your chances of pregnancy.
