Does anyone know if you can get hotflashes if you are postmenopausal. It has been two years since I have had a period. I do have thyroid problems and have been having some hotflashes. Just wondering if it is from the postmenopause or thyroid problems. Heck it could be both huh? :D

I quit my period in l990 and my hot flashes are as bad as ever without my
hormone patch and I'm now 60 years old. I don't think they will ever let
up.

Oh my I guess I need some kind of hormone treatment. I would probably have to go with something natural because the estrogen interferes with the thyroid.

I am also a bit afraid of the synthetic. When I was using the combipatch, I developed graves disease. I can't say that it had anything to do with it. I may have been overdosing on the combipatch.

Thank you for your infor.
