Well what a week so far.
Took my Karl, my BIL to Toronto on Monday, they admitted him immediately.
This situation is not good. They were planning on doing the radiation and chemo first which with most rectal cancers they try to do that. Shrink the tumor then operate. Well Karl has been having incontinence of stool plus a problem with his water so that changed everything.
The main goal at the moment is surgery, colostomy then go from there.
The best thing that has happened is he is pain free, started on morphine right away. The Doctor could not believe Karl had had no pain medication, couldn't understand how he was even managing without pain control.
Surgery is tomorrow and then he will go from there.
I wish this was good post for all to read but it isn't, Doctor is sure this Stage 3 leaning toward 4.
One thing is this may help others to realize how IMPORTANT it is to have a medical and also rectal exam if any thing does not seem right with our bodies.
I wish Karl had do this.
Please pray that everything goes well tomorrow.
