Check to see if you have a county health dept. clinic or family planning clinic. they give out free birth control if you can't afford them

The best kind of birth control varies from person to person. What may work for me may not work for you. So finding the 'best' just requires talking to your doctor and giving something a try. Don't worry if it takes a few times to find the right kind for you.
Since your uninsured I'd suggest going to planned parenthood....I've never been but know that they charge a sliding fee based on your income...
Good luck!

I am on Nuva Ring and love it. The first day of your period you insert the ring and keep it in for 3 weeks, then you have one ring free week and that is when you get your period. I haven't had any side effects which is good cuz other types of birth control (the pill) made me sick. Downside is that is costs about $55.00 without insurance! So you would be spending that each month. I have medicaid which covers it.
