Hi,
My period started properly today and I'm so excited, in seven days I can have my coil removed so my hubby and I can start trying for baby no 2. Any advice in conceiving after the coil has been removed, can it happen striaghtaway like is is possible to be pregnant by next month like we're hoping, any advice on the subject would be brilliant?

I can’t offer any advice to you but I would like to wish you the best of luck! I hope everything works out for you. You said #2. How old is your first? I am due on 3-19-05 and my little boy will turn 2 on 3-14-05. I can’t wait!!

I don't know about the coil, but have heard people refer to it on here, what exactly is it? If it excreets any kind of hormones like the pills do, it may take awhile for those to get out of your system first but anything is possible, I know people who have gotten pregnant while taking the pill too. I'm ttc baby#2 too, my daughter turned 2 on August 9/04. Have you started your prenatal vitamins? Start getting your body ready by taking folic acid?vitamins, eating and sleeping well, and abstaining from drugs/medications, alcohol and caffeine(or at least limiting caffeine). Goodluck

My son is two and a half years old, potty trained in the day time and talking perfectly, something I'd thought I would never see, he was slow in those two areas. The coil I have has no hormones in it as I'm not able to have things like that due to my past medical history so when it is removed then I hope to get pregnant straightaway more or less. I have an IUD and I had one before I tried to conceive #2 they removed it and I did everything as normal. I would say relax and have fun from day 10-16 just ot be sure. It took me right around 6 months to get pregnant. it was the month I just let it go and quit temping that i Got pregnant. Good luck!
