lately I have been having gas all day long. Continously. Tried taking tums today and I think that worked but wondering why I am having this gas. Could something be wrong? 2 months ago I started tetracycline for my acne. could this be it? please help, im blowing up!

tetracycline can definately cause stomach problems. I always felt really sick to my stomach unless I took it with food. Something that works better for gas though is gas x. I think tums is just an antacid. doxycyline is easier on the stomach it is a form for tetracycline but is not as harsh on the stomach. Maybe call your doctor and find out what if they think the problem could be from the tetracycline and have them switch you to something else if that is the problem.

Eat some chocolate before taking the tetracycline...it should help. One of the MAJOR side effects of tetracycline is stomach upset...the chocolate should help.
