How long did it take you to get your period back? (Not counting the first 'withdrawal bleed' when you first stop taking it). Did you wait for your cycle to return naturally, or were you prescribed something to 'kickstart' it?
Any replies would be helpful - I'm starting to worry!

Thanks!

About four and a half months up to now. I heard it can take some time to get back to normal after finishing the pill, but have no idea how long would be considered 'too long'.

I'd have your doctor prescribe something to kickstart it. Otherwise when you finally get it it might be super heavy?!?!

Both times I went off the pill I got my periods the following month and I'm pretty sure it was on the days they were supposed to come too...when was yours due?

I got mine right on schedule. I've been off the pill for 2 months now and my period has been on a 28 day cycle both times. I just hope it stays that way.
I think I would call the dr and see what they say. Best of luck :)

i stopped the pill 3 months ago and it is still a little off whack. The first month off i got it a little over a week early, and it lasted only 2-3days VERY very light. The next month it was a week earlier than the even previous period and was normal. This past month it was about on track with the previous one and went away after 5 days and came back until day 10 or so( not heavy bleeding, just spotting). SO needless to say, depending on your body and other factors like stress, your body just may not have gotten caught up in its own normal cycle again. I would definitely wait a bit longer and then go to the doc if no period by then :) Like the other reply said, around 6 months sounds like a good time frame for u to give ur body :) good luck
