Hello everyone,
I'm 38 the past week i have noticed my nipples have been very soar and tender. I had a total hysterectomy back in January and i only have the right ovary now so no periods anymore. I havent seen anything leaking from my breasts, my boyfriend said he thinks he felt lumps. I don't want him touching me because they are soar. I'm just concerned about what could be wrong if anything. I didn't know if it is part of the change or what? I have never had mammogram done either i wonder if its time or am i worrying for nothing. Any feed back would be greatly appreciatd thank you.

Janice.

Hi Janice,
I think that even though you had a hysterectomy and still have one ovary that you can still have some hormonal things going on, i know my mom had a hysterectomy too but she still has her cervix and she swears every month the same time its like she is getting her peroid again..I would get a mammogram you are at about the age that i would start, they recommend it at 40 anyway. Have you felt any bumps or anything yourself other then the soreness?? It could be a number of things, like my moms gets cysts all the time and she has even had them removed and they were non cancerous, but i would make an appointment with your doc..
Good Luck
Michelle
