Hi,
My nephew was just diagnosed with Autism, and I want to donate money to one of the larger national autism research groups -- but I am having a difficult time finding the difference between Cure Autism Now(CAN) and National Alliance for Autism Research (NAAR). Does anyone have a preference?

Thank you.

Ok, this is just my opinion...I would prefer a completely different organization, one that you haven't mentioned called the (Autism Research Institute). It's a wonderful organization and I know they will appreciate your donation. If you do a search for it online, you will find their website. Here is the main summary from their website:

The Autism Research Institute, a non-profit organization, was established in 1967. It is primarily devoted to conducting research, and to disseminating the results of research, on the causes of autism and on methods of preventing, diagnosing and treating autism and other severe behavioral disorders of childhood. We provide information based on research to parents and professionals throughout the world.

The Autism Research Institute relies on the generosity of donors for its support. All donations are tax-deductible and very much appreciated.
