View Full Version : Something "grinding" in my foot

Since around the end of August I've felt a pain in my left big toe, but only when I flex it. And only recently have I begun to feel a sort of grinding sensation. My boyfriend attempted to do his own version of acupressure and he said he could feel the grinding about halfway down my foot where the bones are, and he said it felt like a vein or tendon was bulging out, and that it appeared to be slightly swollen.

...........

But I can really feel the grinding - feels like a couple of bones rubbing together.

This "condition" doesn't impair walking or even running, so I'm just being a very big whiny baby about this. But does anyone know what might be causing this pain?

If it helps at all, around the time it started to hurt, I made two extremely long trips on foot into town (well over 10 miles) two days in a row, one on each day. I'm guessing it contributed.

I have a similar thing with my ankle.. I'm always cracking it and it sounds like two bones rubbing together. Where your shoes too tight when you walked into town, or bunched together (well.. more than normal in shoes! LOL). The thing with my ankles started with a sprained ankle.. did you do anything like that to it?
