I recently, as of today actually, changed pill brands from Ortho Tri Cyclen to Triquilar 28. I was just wondering if i would still be protected from pregnancy if i had sex without a condom, or if i have to wait a month for this prescription to be effective.

I changed pills from Levlen to Diane about 8 months ago and asked my doctor about this. He said that it is effective from the first pill as you are still continuing the hormones with no interruption.

I would still check with the doctor first though as Triquillar is a different pill to the one I'm on. Different hormone levels.
