My symptoms are as follows;
Migraines - these I have had for about 5-6 years now, they are an ongoing health problem that has presented itself as a life threatening problem due to other symptoms that come with them, and no one can tell me why I have them. Lately they have been getting worse.
Diarrhea – I went about two weeks without any solid waste, this got better last Monday, but I’m still getting it now, this has gone on for about a month. This is having some effect, my nails are starting to get very brittle.
Cramps – very bad cramps in my legs and arms, I wake up around 4am screaming in pain in calves and running down my arms, this has been going on for about 6 months. My legs feel sore and weak for days afterwards.
To me this sounds like stress, however I rarely feel stressed, anything I know could cause stress I have put out of my life for the most part, in fact I’m known as a very chilled person. All this seems to point to stress, but could it be anything else?

Have you ever been beaten? Or hit in the head really hard or fallen? Have you been checked for aneryisms? Migranines and dirareha go hand in hand...cramps can be because you don't drink enough water. Just a suggestion. Get a cat scan if you can. Stress can cause alot of aches and pains.!!

Have you tried phyllium husk for your diareah? It works great. I think since you have had dirreah for a month you losing minerals and nutrients. You might need extra potassium for leg cramps and calcium for your nails. If your having these because of stress, look into stress relaxation cds.

No I haven't been beaten, I have had cat scans and all came back normal.
I take multivitamins and eat a lot of good food, but as long as the problem is still there there is nothing I can do to make myself better - relaxation tapes would work for someone who is stressed out, although they are stress symptoms because I can't feel it the likelyhood of anti-stress in terms of tapes, aromatherapy, yoga, meditation etc. isn't going to work.

Sounds like stress to me. Even if you think you've gotten rid of all the stressful stuff in your life you still have your subconscience. Sometimes you can't even tell it's a problem - you feel fine, doing all the "right" things, but you still are having strange problems.
Have you considered biofeedback or CBT?
Please keep us informed of your progress (or lack therof...hopefully the former).

ps..Hannasnana has it right on about the cramps..I'd bet the farm (if I had one  ) that it's a potassium deficiency, or some other vitamin problem because of the loose bowels.

right on Ruby slippers about stress. Even good stress can stress out the body. We don't even know we are reacting.....Our body tells us in different ways......

The fact that you have had diarrhea for quite awhile would cause a depletion in calcium, magnesium and vitamin E and also cause dehydration. These, in turn, would definitely cause cramping.
Migraines are not only caused by stress. They can also be caused by:
Too much or too little sleep
Certain medications
Smoking
Certain foods
Flurescent lighting
Strong odors
Hormonal changes
Head trauma
Weather changes
Motion sickness
Cold stimulus (eating ice cream)

about the certain foods: I don't know them all, but chocolate, red wine, and some cheeses are the 'biggies'

Just type in "Foods to avoid with migraines" and you will find that information.

I think it could be a food allergy. If my boyfriend sips a bit of red wine he gets migraines, He used to have them all the time and didn't know what was causing them. Once he stopped drinking the wine they went away and he hasn't had them since.
I would look at doing an exclusion diet and I would strongly recommend you stay away from Sugar Free foods and drinks that have the chemicals added as sweetners like sorbitol, aspartame, phenyilnine avoid fizzy Diet drinks do you drink a lot of these? I had diarreah for ages and when I cut out sugar free chemicals it stopped

You may even have Fibromyalgia. Be sure to check it out. Sometimes it starts off with symptoms similar to yours. Hope that you feel better soon!
