I Am 26 Years Old And I Had A Massive Brain Stroke On Sept 29, 2003. This Wednesday Will Be One Year, I Have Come A Long Way From Where I Was, But I Am Starting To Get A Little Discouraged B/c I Still Have No Movement In My Left Fingers. Everyone Says, "oh, That's Not So Bad." But They Don't Realize How Hard It Is When You Have To Do Things With One Hand And There Are So Many Things I Can't Do. I Guess I'm Just Needing A Little Encouragement From Someone Who Knows What It's Like To Go Through This.

Oh my gosh...don't get discouraged. I am a mother of three and do have both my arms and I STILL can not do all of it. Not to make light of your situation but the only reason you think it's difficult is because you KNOW what it's like with two arms. If you were born with one you wouldn't think the way you do. You can't be super woman. Just do what you can. There is no sense in worrying what you can't change. I know this sounds so cliche' but it's so true. You have your life...........You have your life.....you have your life.........you have your life......get it? One arm is better than no arms or no breathe. Your strong and I think you just need someone to reasure you that. Here I am to tell you that you are! Do what therapy you can...push yourself where you can....believe in what you can...Good luck
