This is going to be a tough question to answer since we really aren't supposed to post web sites here, but my doctor thinks I may have Celiac and wants me to try a wheat free diet for 2 weeks. Since I may not have it I do not want to go out and buy a book about what I am allowed to eat so I am using the web.
Can someone give me a good sample menu of what a typical Celiac might eat for lunch and dinner. I am covered with breakfast eating puffed rice or eggs.
I also have read in some places that some foods are OK and other places that they are not. Like Ketchup and Mustard because the have grained vineager.
Anyway I am pretty confused and maybe a book is the beast idea.
Can you all recommend one? I think that is allowed?
Thanks for all your help.

If you have any wonders about a product, simply call the company. Most major companies can send you a list of all of their gluten free items. Kraft, Nestle, and Lipton are great with their labelling because if a product contains gluten, it will specilfy wheat right in the ingredients. My celiac daughter enjoys most Kraft sauces, and dressings, and Heinz ketchup and mustard. We are in Canada, however, and ingredients differ elsewhere. I have found most companies extremely helpful, in fact I always shop with my cell phone, and if I have any questions about a product I call the 1 800 number from the grocery store.

be very carful with the sauces from kraft..even tho they got the list on their site...i don't truly believe it at 100%..there could be a little bit of it in there..if she cosumes these daily, it can cuase problems in the long run..just be careful..thats all im saying..
where in canada are you from..???
bye
