A seizure can result from blood sugar going too high or too low. http://www.drgreene.com/21_612.htm SamQKitty 09-27-2004, 10:55 PM What exactly do you mean by "partial seizures"? Aside from diabetes, you could have a form of epilepsy. If this is happening frequently, you should see your doctor. Ruth Linda1629 09-28-2004, 07:55 AM I was under the impression (maybe wrongly) that if you have seizures from a low blood sugar then you would need assistance from another person, it's not something that you would 'come out of' with out some treatment, like glucagon. And for a high blood sugar, if it were that high where you were having seizures then surely you'd be in ketoacidosis by now. No? Mommyof4 09-28-2004, 09:28 PM Linda... Yes, if your blood sugar is high enough to cause a seizure, you would require immediate attention. Seizures can also happen with low blood sugars but in both cases, they should be treated in a hospital |
