27 year old male...fairly healthy....about 5'8 145 pounds. Decent shape. I have always had a tummy...even after loosing a bit of weight which I believe is genetic. I have also always had manboobs...they are by no means horrific...but unless i drop substantial amounts of weight (and become underweight) they are always present and embarassing. I don't take any type drugs with the exception of propecia daily for hair loss recently. The boobs have been there since childhood and really haven't changed drastically unless large swings in weight occur.

Are there potential drugs options available? I don't think liposuction is appropriate for me at this point?

P.S. My prolactin a year ago came in at 35 (elevated according to my G.P.) and just recently it came back 12.

Any thoughts? It really is awful.

Aside from liposuction, which is probably the most effective option, I believe that you would benefit from a program of running and weight lifting. Although there is no such thing as spot-reducing, the running will burn fat from all parts of the body, including the boobs, and the weight lifting will add muscle, which is bulky yet firm, which in turn will burn more of the fat (increased metabolism). It's also good for you in so many other ways - heart, nervous system, digestive system, etc. It may take a few months to see results but I'm sure that if you stick with it, you will be pleased. Good luck. Nikki

I agree you're a good weight, you don't want to drop much of that.

Weight lifting will help you gain some muscle which will help with your chest appearance. Focus on your chest, lifting heavy / moderate weights but don't forget the other muscles - you want to appear balanced.

If you've never lifted before you're going to notice a change pretty quickly (6 weeks or so). Check out the Exercise / Fitness board here you'll see some good posts on how to gain muscle.

I am 15 and I have man boobs (not big, but annoying). I started jogging for 3 weeks, about 20-30 minutes every night, then walking afterwards. Then I started doing weight lifting before cardio 'cause I read it would give a boost for fat burning or whatever afterwards. Would this help reduce the size? I don't think I have Gynecomastia, or whatever that disease is called... Any advice would be great. :bouncing:

I do watch what I eat and I'm careful not to eat junk food (I don't eat chips or anything like in the past =P)
