How often does your doctor check your iron levels? The last time my dr did it was at the end of July so I'm wondering if I should have them checked again?

If you've been taking iron and want to know if your levels have risen usually they'll wait several months before checking again. Iron levels rise slowly. I've been under the care of a hematologist for 4 years now due to a severe deficiency and I'm only checked every 3-4 months.
