My hair is very long till my waist and very thick. The haircolor is dark brown with few blond highlights.I went to my salon Juut here in Minneapolis and had my stylist do a little darker color like black and she said it might fade.Well it's been a month and every time i wash my hair i see it's fading.I don't wanna go again to her and pay a big amount of money and have it fade again.I was thinking to just go to the drugstore and buy a color and do it myself.I don't know what brand is the best. Please any tips are welcome.
Thanks a lot

Permanent is just that permanent. It will not wash out in 15-24 shampoos. You are talking about temporary or what ever word they use. It will say on the box.
Anything I have ever tried by Clairol has been good. They also have wonderful conditioner.

I love Feria hair color. Leaves your hair soft and very shiny. Formula doesn't burn scalp or make it itchy. Remember with hair that is as long as yours, you will probably need at least 3 boxes, maybe more.

I like L'Oreal Preference and Excellence Supreme. Excellence comes with a pre color treatment to apply to the ends of your hair so if it is dry or porous it will keep the color longer. Both of these brands are permanent hair color.

Loreal Feria is my favorite.... I like the color, the depth, and the conditioner. It's kind of sparkly with all the highlights in there. Not flat at all. And permanent is permanent to a certain extent, but more intense color, like red and black (I know from having red hair for a while) is notorious for washing out. You can see it in the water. It won't all go away, but it will gradually fade to a blaaah dull color. There's really no way to prevent it, either. You just have to maintain it with touch ups.
