Girls~

I've read all the posts and still can't decide. I have wavy hair and live in a humid climate. Right now I have a salano flat iron that I paid $100 for 6 years ago. It's okay, but I'd like to try something else.

I want something that keeps my hair straight in this humidity.

could ya help me out here...superstar or chi??

hi reneeintx,
Well i own the Superstar and i live in miami, so the humidity here is horrbile. i have curly think hair, and the superstar has done wonders to my hair. my mom has thin hair which humidity totally kills it, and i ironed her hair and the humidity di nothing to it. The SuperStar is basically the Chi, but improved, the chi has no temp. setting, its made by the same guy. When I called to make my order they told me the chi will soon be discontinied, i don't know if its true though.
In my opinion though , u should definatly go for the SuperStar. Its the BEST, honestly speaking http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif on ebay they are a little cheaper

Thank you so much for replying.

I think I'll take your advice and go for the superstar. You of all people should know about the humidity I'm talking about http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

I usually do my hair the night before. If I fix it in the morning by the time I walk to my car(which is 3 steps from my front door) My hair looks like a frizz ball.

I don't even blow dry my hair anymore..it only makes it frizzy.

You're so lucky to live in Miami!! I've always wanted to live in Florida. My husband works in the oil industry and he says "there's no oil in Florida" SHOOT!! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/mad.gif

Everytime I watch CSI Miami..I'm so envious.

Renee

Hi renee.

Any questions I don't mind, I like to help as much as i can http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif LOL, well the humidity in Florida is so bad. when i was in high school i didn't iron yet, cause i don't even think the ceramics one were popular. and in the morning my hair will also be fixed, the minute i walked to class thats it, I had HUGE frizzy hair....lol Now since it seems like I have naturally straight hair. I really reccomend it to you. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

And miami is OK, but its not that great...lol the weather is...lol (I hate cold weather)...lol I guess since i live here i don't see it so great..hehe
