My daughter came home from her dad's with head lice. I have been through this before with her, and the OTC treatments can get pretty expensive, and I don't think they work all that well. Does anyone have any tips on getting the nits out???? I got most of them out tonight, but there are still a few that I can't seem to get out. SOMEONE PLEASE HELP!!!!!! thanks!

You just have to keep combing until you see no more.
Get a good lice removalcomb from a pharmacy. Then just goop your child's hair with any hair conditioner. The conditioner will help to detangle and help slide the nits off the hair.Just keep doing this every night until you see no more nits .It takes patience but it will work. Be sure and wash all bedding and towel and put the child's stuffed animals in an air tight bag for two weeks, this will kill any that may be on her stuffed toys.
Hope this helps.

i ran a daycare and had that problem before
i called my kids physician and she perscribe ovide , it works great plus you want to get the comb that has the long prongs they are about 13-15 dollars but also works great, the first time the daycare kids brought lice into my home i freaked and even took my couch set to the dump!!

Someone said that continually washing the hair in olive oil will finally do the trick if nothing else works.
