I saw an ad in my local newspaper about Permanent Makeup. Has anyone heard of this or had it done? You can have lipsitck, eyeliner, blush, and foundation put on. Can anyone give me some more info on this?

Permanent makeup is basically a tattoo. Quite a few tattoo shops are starting to offer permanent makeup, but I would make sure to go to somone who has been specializing in permanent makeup for quite a while. I'm not sure about blush, the most common procedures I hear of is lipstick, lip liner, brows, and eyeliner. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

I was tempted to have this done,,(eyeliner),,but am quite skeptical,,the lady said it is painful,,& to take 2 Tyl.#3 before I came!! I MAY have a reaction & "puff up"
Since it is Forever I think I'll pass...lol

Hi! My mom has her eyebrows and eyeliner done. i thought it was bizarre at first but she felt better after getting them and did not waste a lot of time applying makeup. i think it looks awesome on her even if it is pretty drastic. but the only drawback is that (just like normal tattoos on your skin) it can fade and turn green so you have to go back for touch ups once in a while.

i have a friend who had it done several years ago..she said the pain from the eyeliner was terrible ..during the procedure and during the healing..i do not think permanent make up is a good idea..what looks good on us in our 20's and 30's could look ridiculous on us as we get older
