Hi there. I'm 22 and I usually post in back problems as I suffer from Spodylolisthesis however, lately I've had a terrible time with my feet and I don't know if this is related to my back problems or not but I figured I may get more help here in regard to this. THe pain is at my ankles and heels and it spreads to about half way to my toes (on the bottom of the foot). The pain is usually worst in the morning. I find as soon as I get out of bed I can barely stand up and put weight on my feet. I have a terrible time walking straight or at all. The pain kind of subsides but then gets increasingly worse throughout the day. If anybody out there has any suggestions as to what this could be, your opinion would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance. Kristy.

I had that problem too for a while I think... Mine was more of a muscular thing on the bottom arch of my foot. My foot doc said it was plantar fascia pain (I totally spelled that wrong too...) He gave me a boot that stretched my foot, baisicly kept it pulled with my toes toward my knee... after a few months of that I never felt the pain again and that was last summer! IF you don't want to go to a doc, the home remedy is to roll up a towel and put it at the balls of your foot and pull the towel up to stretch the muscle yourself... I think I did this for 20 min a night for a few months... you can also look up plantar fascitis online and see if this is what you have... good luck! :)

THank you very much for your reply. I know I have tendonitis in both my feet which was diagnosed when I was quite young. However, the pain I have been feeling lately is totally different from what I suffer with in regards to tendonitis. I really appreciate your reply. I am making an appt with my doc but I figured I would try to get any info and possibilites while I wait to see him. For the time being I will look into planta fascitis. Thanks again. Kristy.

It sounds like plantar fasciitis, which is what I have. Does it feel like you are walking on pins and needles when you get out of bed in the morning? It is mostly in the morning and basically, it is heel pain that extends to the big toe. The pain lasts through the day especially if you stand or walk a lot. I went through physical therapy and that didn't help much. Right now I have inserts for my shoes and that isn't helping either. Anyway, I'm pretty sure what you are experiencing is plantar fasciitis--go check it out.

Sounds like Fasciitis..Google it and try the stretching exercises you'll find. If it only gets worse see a podiatrist. Never let anyone operate without considering ESWT.

Hi,
Thank you very much for your replys. I have checked it out and it does sound like faciitis. It is getting worse though and I don't see my doctor for another 3 weeks! Besides excersises that I can find online are there any other suggestions as to what I can do to relieve this pain and walk normally? Thanks again. Kristy.
