In college, can they fail you if your trying your hardest and you have a learning disorder?

K, I take that as no one knows. Well if someone finds out give me a heads up cause I'm worried about that as I come closer to the end of my high school years.

OK, well yes of course they can. Having an LD means you have a right for adequate support, but it doesn't mean school will automatically have to let you pass everything.

Do you have documentation of your LD? Your school should have a disability, or special needs counselor that can help you or at least give you advice. If you have documentation of your disability, you should be able to get "reasonable accomodations" according to the Americans with Disabilities act, but I think (I'm not sure) you may have had to inform them at the beginning of your school year.

I do have documentation of my LD. Thanks, what you provided was what I was looking for. I have and will some more searched the schools that I'm interested for counselors for disabilities or special needs.

Yeah, you gotta give them documentation...your IEP, stuff like that. I just went to a class on this very issue. You may want to call the colleges you are looking at attending, and ask if for Student Services...or something like that. I can't remember it's called...but yeah...ask for someone dealing with LDs/special needs...I think that person in called a 504 officer or something. :) Good luck !
