Well so far I am glad that I had it done. Not as much pain, not on pain pills everyday. The popping, clicking, falling out of joint is back now a year and a half later. But not the intense pain that came with it. My bite is off quite a bit now and teeth are wearing in some pretty odd places. Teeth actually hurt more than the joint now.
Lost most of the hearing in my right ear.
Intense shoulder and neck pain if I do not exercise and keep stretching those muscles.
I had the surgery because the ball portion of the joint had completely disintegrated. My jaw would fall out of joint easily. TERRIBLE pain.
They did the muscle flap thing to cushion the spot and tie it up a bit.
So far it works ok.
Like I said tho, the cracking and popping in and out of joint is back.
But not the pain that went with it before.
Will have to wait and see now i spose.
