I have read that sometimes rest is all a person needs. I think you should try to wean off the narcs and try Ibuprophen before you go back to work. You don't want to be on narcs while working. too many associated risks including that your work may frown on that if they find out. I would say, if you feel better and you can stop using the meds and survive fine on Motrin, that maybe you don't need the injections. Seems the general idea here is the injections don't work. I had one two years ago, didnt work and had surgery. Last week I had three and still didn't work and now I am wanting sugery again. If it gets bad, the injections are the first step in your care. I hope your pain does stay away and you can return to work. I have been off from work since July and miss it, but I know I can't go back now. too much pain. Good luck and I hope your recovery was great with just rest!

in my past I experienced relief when i lowered my stress
I moved into a situation where i didnt have to pay rent and I could just "BE"
I didnt even have to know what day of the week it was.
I suprise
i felt alot better.
and I stayed better.
Untill I overdid did and now I am back on my butt
but the point is, the lack of stress from work could really have helped

umm no i dont think ill go back to work because my pain level is down to where the percosat helps it just wasnt helping at all while i was working,i think i should have my back problem fixed so that i have little or no pain working and none at home resting.because i try not take pain meds and i was in a fair amount of pain so i better go ahead and get this taken care of.

Hi there,
It's nice to hear that you are feeling a bit better. I can't say that the injections are something that's going to benefit you at all. My experience is negative. The shots never worked and just caused me to have more pain rather than relieve. I'm sure for some people it works but I know a lot have had the same experience as me. I would talk to your doctor and see what he/she says. Be sure to mention that you have had a significant difference with time off of work. Take care and let us know how you are doing and what goes on. Kristy. :)
