Last friday I had an epidural in th C5/6 area, this is my 6th in a year and 1/2. Pain Mangmt said this one may be diffierent from the rest which did no good and worsened in some cases, the amount of constant pain I have. They said this C5/6 was my highest spot of trouble, with the cushion so to speak missing upnext to spine. They thought the steroid would follow down the entire spine and maybe find the thoracic area which I have so much pain in, with no one finding out why?

Well, this shot was basicly like all the rest-just raised the amount of pain I have-plus added to more drugs to armful I take already. Problem is I can't breathe well now-very short of breath just laying around. I think it's the celebrex they added to replace the Vioxx I was on for all this time. Any one else have that reaction when they used celebrex?

Surgery looks to be my only relief possible to get off the drugs, but reading on this site doesn't build up my confidence much. Good Luck All!

if it makes you feel better, I am hoping for surgery. In addition to two small bulges in my lumbar level, I have a sign. one at C5-6 and the one injection I had also made my pain worse. I am losing strength in my left arm and have a pinched nerve. My pain is getting intolerable. I have to take two percocets every four hours now. And in addition to my neck pain, I have low back pain too that I am hoping they will operate on. It sucks big time and right now I have exhausted every avenue (except for accupuncture, and not gonna do it). I know how you feel. I can't lie flat, so I keep my head elevated which causes pain too. I don't know about the meds. I hope you can get some help though to ease your pain.
