I Recently have been diagnosed with sinus tachycardia, and when i went to have blood work done, the test came back with two abnormal results. My calcium was high by a couple of tenths, and my ALT liver number was around 56. My doctor thought it was an error in the test, and sent me back for more blood work. I got the tests back, and again the the two numbers were high, actually they were a little higher than when i took the first blood test. Why are they so high? I have recently had a little pain on my side rib cage (both) but it comes and goes, and is usually not really intense. I have been feeling a little tired, but i don't know if that is cause of my job and school. Is there somthing really wrong with me? I'm only 17!!
PS> Does it matter that i took a stress test (Cardiovascular) before i had the blood work done? And does the sinus tachycardia affect anything?
-Thanx for any input

I have sinus tach as well as a liver disorder. My numbers were very high as well. My 2 conditions are not related. The pain you feel on your right side can be your liver. If it is swollen it can hurt. Mine started out as aches when my numbers started to clinb as well. You should talk to your doctor about further liver testing. Sometimes medications can also altar your liver levels.

Millertime,
Judging from your name it sounds like you like the booze. If you drink excessively you will affect your liver adversely. How often and how much do you drink? You are so young to have this problem already. Are you overweight? that could be a factor also..Lisa

Alchohol and Acetaminophen/Tylenol/APAP (all the same thing) can raise the liver levels, and over time will do damage to the liver organ.
