I just want to thank all of you who encouraged me to go ahead with my first ever colonoscopy. I was really worried about it and you all reassured me. I was aware of what was happening but the sedative they gave me made me totally relaxed. I had to have it done because something was seen when I had a barium enema, and my surgeon thought it was probably the stitches from my operation for colon cancer 3 years ago. During the colonoscopy they were saying it looks like a stich that hadn't disolved, but they have taken a biopsy to make sure and I will get the results in a few weeks. Now I'm just praying that it is a stitch and not a return of the cancer. Thanks again for your comments - I'm so glad I found this site.
