I am trying to find foundation and mascara that can be layered without disaster! I want one that can be touched up during the day, and then built on after work if I am going out and have no time to start again, without getting the pancake face/flaky lashes look. any tips??? I have very sparse lashes so need several coats anyway to even get off the ground!!!

hi, i know products that would be great for you. i sell them and i totally love them. they're made by jafra cosmetics, which i'm a skincare consultant with. the foundation is called always color stay on makeup, and it comes in 2 formulas, which are oil controlling and moisturizing, and it does what it says stays on, i put mine on in the morning and i don't have to reapply throughout the day, it makes my skin feel like i have nothing on but total covers it. the mascara is called volume building mascara, and it contains proteins, soy extracts and primose oil that let the mascara condition and soften lashes to plump them up and it looks in the curls. it doesn't make them look clumpy even if you do choose to reapply. if you would like more info. or i can mail you a brochure, plus we have a program that you can earn products for free, please feel free to contact me at ashipley@dp.net
thanks, angela

I just tried the Jane HiFiber mascara last night... it was $3.99 at Rite-Aid, and I was really impressed with how long I was able to coat with it without it starting to clump up (since I have ultra golden blond lashes it takes some time to get them entirely covered -the slightest flash of uncovered lash *really* stands out on me!) and I was even able to go back a couple hours later and add more. Great Lash Mascara was the only other mascara I've used that I don't have to work very quickly with to cover my lashes to avoid getting clumpy crumbles if you know what I mean, but I can't go back and add more later with the Great Lash. Just like the Great Lash though, washing off was a big pain in the neck... it comes off easily, there's just lots and lots of it and it just seems to keep watering down with each washing so it takes several attempts to get it all, even with the help of specialty eye makeup removers. The HiFiber is very dramatic lengthening wise, almost as much so as that L'Oreal Double Extend mascara. For the price I was just really impressed with the Jane mascara... don't know if it will continue to impress me though, I didn't get much chance to really field test it yesterday so don't know how well it stands up through the elements or if it's one of those that is only good the first couple of weeks and then starts to get goopy in the bottle.
