hey guys, recently when i was cutting my toenails, i came across one toe where the nail was really loose. it looks as if i can pull the entire nail off the toe if i really wanted to. it doesnt hurt, but it kind of scares me as this is the only toe with this problem. is this fungus? can anyone help? TIA

It sounds probable......but, you best get it checked out by a doctor so that you can be given proper medication if it is fungus.
Does the nailbed look "normal"....meaning all pink and clear or does it look dark and ridged?

it looks mostly normal, except instead of being pinkish, it was white.

Just wondering if you banged your toe or something fell on it maaaaany months ago? Do you do a lot of running? Play basketball or volleyball where there's a lot of start/stop movements?

You might want to try posting this to the group that discusses problems with nails. There's a person there who's great with helping out.
