I've never had kids and am not going to anytime in the immediate future, but was just wondering how many women have seen their breast size decrease after breastfeeding and how many have seen it increase?

I've seen both happen and was just wondering which was the most common...just curious I guess http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

Mine have increased a tiny bit, but the biggest change is that they became a lot softer and yes, droopier http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/frown.gif

mine decreased, and, yeah, droopier!!!! that was 2 children for one year each, but I don't regret doing it, it is EXTREMELY beneficial to your child!

Wow, I'd actually never heard of breasts decreasing after breastfeeding, other than decreasing back to the size they were before pregnancy that is, but I'd never heard of them getting smaller than they were before ever being pregnant. I honestly didn't know that could happen! Mine definitely got bigger, from an A to a C, they were *really* big while I was breastfeeding, I was very embarrassed and uncomfortable about them. I absolutely prefer having smaller breasts. I attended lots of LLL meetings during the years I breastfed and nobody ever mentioned their breasts getting smaller, although I do remember lots of women wondering if they were ever going to return to normal because they were still bigger after having weaned so my guess would be most people increase if anything.

Mine are larger. From a B to a C cup. I breastfed 2 children , the first for 6 months and the second for 18 months. I have gone down slightly since stopping the nursing but am still larger than larger than my prepregnancy size.

A friend of mine had large breasts that got even bigger during pregnancy. She breast-fed for at LEAST a year, and after she stopped, her breasts got smaller than they had originally been.
I was bugging her about that because mine actually seemed bigger than hers after that!

You would have to factor in the weight distribution. If for instance you gained a chronic 16 lbs (like I did), then it's hard to figure. Basically I think they're about the same though.

Breast fed 3 babies and my breasts were smaller after each one. (Although they were really nice while I was nursing!) They got so small there was nothing left to droop!
