View Full Version : Finding a cane...

Hi everyone,

I recently retired my walker, which I had been confined to since May, and I am trying despirately to find a quad cane. I've been checking around at medical supply stores and the prices I'm being told are RIDICULOUS! $45 for a quad cane? I seriously do not think so!

I've also been asking friends, neighbors (I'm surrounded by elderly neighbors), and family and I've been looking in the paper.

Has anyone found a good place online to get one for a decent price? So far the loweat price I've found is $25.

I'm really resisting buying a cane because part of me thinks I can do ok by myself, but I know I could really benefit from having one.

Also, my therapy is almost up! Only two more sessions and then I'm done! I go bak to the doctor in mid November and if everything looks ok, that will be my last visit with him.

I would really appreciate any info anyone can give...or if anyone has a used quad cane, I'd buy it from you. :)

TIA...

I would check with your local hospital thrift shop or goodwill store. I have seen them for around $5.00

I checked with a few thrift stores near me and left my phone number in case they get any in. Hopefully I'll get a call soon. :)

Have you tried eBay? I just saw some for $7.00 to $29
