Thanks for your reply to my post about shaving the pubic area. You got the gist of what I was asking exactly, the social implications of what is going on!!
I mean, at what point can any normal woman replicate the female images that are bombarding us from all sides?? And if we don't, aren't we seen as inferior?
I mean, looking good is fun, but at some point it stops being fun when what you are doing to yourself is painful, dangerous, overly time consuming and you really feel like a reject if you don't do these things. I mean, I wonder if young girls even know what it's like to be without all this tremendous pressure to sexualize themselves and such a young age, and to intensly compete with other females to get the most and best attention. Pleeese don't anybody get offended. These are my musings.. I just like to think about all these issues for their own sake, I'm not trying to insult anyone!!!!
And I appreciate everybody who posted with shaving advice!! I never thought of using an electric shaver, but that really makes sense. Good tip. Well, I have no male companionship lined up anytime soon, but at least I'll be a little more ready if/when it happens!!
