Hey everyone! My friend says theres a few tricks of the trade when it comes to looking good in photographs, apart from nice makeup etc, but she won't share them with me cos she says theyr too good!I think it may have something to do with where u place urself, the angle u face the camera etc. Anyone have any ideas what little pearls of wisdom she's keeping from me lol!I wanna know!!lol

I know you should wear a little more makeup than you usually do and make sure you use a light diffusing foundation. As for special angles...it all depends on the lighting and location. I used to model when I was younger and this is what I was taught. I still cannot get over your friend. Good luck!!-Roni

i had some glamour pic done once.... lots of fun :) they used this really heavy makeup, so my complexion was flawless and a nice light.... also, heavier makeup when i had my senior pics done for highschool and good light. a lot of it is the photographer too. The guy who did my highschool pics was really fun,did lots of different poses and captured my personality really well. what kind of pictures are you having done? just snapshots,or professional?

Besides the make-up and lighting and photographer -it's a good idea to always relax your eyes, neck and smile. Fake smiles don't work. You have to really imagine something pleasant or funny. Also, try to smile with your eyes, pretend you're thinking of something naughty too - that helps!
Chose comfortable clothes. Nothing that will date you in years to come.

Depending on how involved you want to get in the photography... If you're having black and white photos done, a green lense filter is best to correct blotchy skin and make it appear flawless. Also, be as comfortable as possible! The worst thing in photography is to look strained or uncomfortable, let the real you come out!

Show your better side (we all have one). Maybe your friend is just pulling your leg; I can't imagine someone not sharing this info.

Well, MY guess would be that you already look pretty damn good and your so-called 'friend' is just a tad jealous. So she's either making sure you don't look any better than you already do, or she's trying to intimidate you, or most likely - she has no idea what these tips are but wants you to think she does. She's very insecure, sweetie, not to mention immature. I'm going to say that you look just fine the way you are, so don't let someone like her make you think you 'need' something more. If it comes up again, smile sweetly and say you're glad she's found some helpful tips for herself but you've been told you look just fine.

your friend probly just wants to make herself look like she's got something useful that u don't when she might not even know any of those secrets. but if she does the reason she's not telling u is probly that she wants to make sure u don't look better than her.
