Just curious.
Which do you prefer -- cream or powder blushes?
For years, I've used powder. Then recently, I tried cream. I think the powder is easier to apply evenly, but I haven't decided what I think of the cream yet.
Thoughts?

A cream blush will last longer than powder. I use powder blush because of habit...but I am going to have to start using cream because my powder won't stay on as long as I would like. I use Estee Lauder's blushes so I think I will probably start using their cream.-Roni

I have a few different brands.
For powder, I have Yves Rocher.
For cream, I have Morgen Schick, Vicki Lawrence, Parthena. I haven't used all of those yet.

I like cream blushes. The skin on my cheeks tends to be a little dry, and the powder makes it look and feel even drier. The cream is more moisturizing. And like the others have said, it lasts longer than powder. I'm sure everyone has different opinions. If your skins is more on the oily side you may want to stick with the powder. Try both...good luck!

Hi,
I find that in general cream blushes are better for people with dry skin and powder blushes are better for people with oily skin. I have oily skin so I prefer powder. However, when I really want the colour to last without having to retouch. I put cream blush first (on top of moisturizer), then face powder, then powder blush. This layering makes the colour last without creasing. :-)

I agree. Powder works better for oily skin, and cream better for dry skin.

I foudn that i like the powder blushes better...i wouldnt say my skin is oily, but nto dry, it's somewhere in -between, i liek the powder, because it goes on more even and spreads more easily, and i think it looks more natural, i like neutrogena soft color blush...lasts long, looks natural, feels great!

I like cream or gel blushes better. They stay on longer and have a more "natural" finish. My favorite is Tarte's gel blush in tickled peach.

I like cream or gel. I can control them a lot easier. I never use a lot of blush anyway. I often use lipstick for blush! I love Illuminare mineral blush, lasts all day.

I've used both, and now alternate according to my plans. For everyday, creams work well (I prefer Clinique's cream to powder formula or Trish McEvoy's gel formula). They tend to look most natural -- I can mimic a "been in the sun" look. For evenings out, esp. if I'm wearing foundatin and powder, then a powder seems to work best and last well. For cheap, Rimmel (at WalMart) is super, and just about any expensive version is a luxury I love (Lancome and Chanel are favorites)!

I like cream blushes better. I like the dewey look I can get from a cream blush. Lately I've just been using powder though. It's quicker fo rme.
