I'm sorry if this question has already been asked but I wake up every morning with puffiness underneath my eyes. I mean alot of swelling. I'm starting a new job next week and I will be getting there at 7:30am. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get rid of these. Some one mentioned hemmoroid ointment, just a dab rubbed in to take down the swelling.
Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks!

Icy cold water in a zip bag. Hold it on them for like 10 minutes and it helps significantly

Chilled cucumber slices work well.

Preparation H Ointment (not cream) does work, but it is greasy and worse, it stinks! It smells like fish oil. I've heard that the cream, which does not smell bad, also does not work - so maybe it's the fish oil that works. Anyway, it's not a permanent fix, you have to do it every day.

You could try putting two spoons in the fridge before you go to bed and when you wake up, put the backs of them against your eyes.

You could also try Retinol eye cream, it works good.

I have read that alcohol, caffiene, medication, sinus problems, allergies, eating salty snacks before bedtime can cause puffy eyes. You obviously have some form of fluid rentention caused by something.

Cold and raw apple, potato and cucumber slices on your eyes for a few minutes helps. Apple slices are great b/c the pectin helps reduce dark circles. Using cotton balls soaked in tea or cold water and then placing on the eyes to reduce puffyness. Camomile tea is best as it acts as an astringent. Try sleeping with your head elivated. The Body Shop sells and Elderflower eye gel which you can keep in your refrigerator and pat around your eye area whenever you like. It's very cooling and refreshing and keeps your eyes feeling alive.
