Hi all,
Wondering if you have some recommendations for a great hairspray!
I've used the Sheer Blonde, and I really like it, however I have so many problems with the spray nossle on those aerosol cans lately. I give up on buying them. So after I couldn't get the bottle to spray, I decided to use up some Finesse I have. Well I find it is too sticky and crunchy.
I really haven't used much else and would like to know what you use and like. I want something that has a bit of staying power, that is lighter feeling on the hair, and doesn't make it so dark. Anyone tried the Clinique hair products....the hairspray in particular?

If you're looking for something that is very light, I have used Biolage. It kept my hair feeling fresh, and kept it's hold. However, it didn't last for a super long time, i.e. didn't really last throughout the day. http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/frown.gif But there is nothing wrong with touch up! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif

If you ever do find a hairspray that works and doesn't create helmet head...and doesn't smell... shout it out! http://www.healthboards.com/ubb/smile.gif
Once when I was over my folk's house, I grabbed some hair spray and poofed it all over my head (family picture time). It worked GREAT.... kept my hair soft, but kept the style, wasn't crunchy... only thing is is it was my dad's hair spray! Don't remember the brand name, but it smelled like aftershave.
Wish all products came in an unscented version.

I like BIO from Bath and Body Works. It has a pleasant scent and it doesn't make my hair sticky or shiny.

I use Joico, medium hold in the pink can. It holds my hair all day and I can brush through it restyle it and spray again without much buildup. I have been using it for a couple years now.

Thanks for the replies! I may try the Joico out. I've used their products before...pretty much have tried something from every line of salon products. I like the Joico Ice Whip mousse, but it was a bit heavy for my finer hair. Smelled awesome...like a creamsicle. Anyways, wondering where you buy Bath and Body Works products?

stephbabie,
why dont you go to another website if you do not like our comments? We come to this room for advice and tell others what to buy. That is what healthboards is all about..giving suggestions and helping others out.

I love Sheer Blond, but you are right, sometimes the nozzle plugs up. Just hold it under the tap for a minute and press hard, it unplugs right away. I like it best because it has a fine mist and it doesn't get gummy. When I need really good hold I use Sebastian, it still brushes out, but holds better than Sheer Blond, and it doesn't get as gummy or stiff as some of the others.

ok well i cant tell you of a good hairspray, as i am looking for one myself, but you buy bath and body works prodaucts at their store, bath and body works, maybe they dont have one aroudn you so you could buy it online.
Also i agree with you about the jafra lady, i am sure her line of products is great, but we are all here for advice, not to be sold stuff to, by the way, advertisement on these boards is against the rules, and if you havent gotten caught yet, u will eventually.

Thanks for the replies guys.
I didn't really think about running the nozzle under hot water, generally I've only done that with a regular pump bottle that opens up, not the aerosol cans. I should try that before throwing away my bottle that isn't spraying right now.
Thanks BeachBella(cool name by the way!) for your hitting my thoughts on the nail - re. the sales type stuff...you just said it, I guess you could say, more appropriately.
I haven't ended up buying anything new yet, but perhaps the Sebastian spray, as it sounds like a good one too. I just don't want my blondish hair to look darker than it is and to get crunchy...I hate that.
Nope, no Bath and Body Works stores around me. I'm in a large city, but I don't think they are in Canada.
