Has anyone notice that certain foods seem to make some of their symptoms worst? For a couple of months my body just had the hardest time digesting carbohydrates. I have not had problems with peanuts until recently...after eating some I felt irritable, panicky, and light headed. This lasted for about 30-45 minutes then as quickly as it came it stopped. Needless to say I've not eaten any peanuts since that day, but I have eaten other nuts without any symptoms mentioned above. I do have IBS, but this was different.

Hi Hopefully,
You might have had an allergic reaction to peanuts. People tend to be more allergic to peanuts than any other nut (more common reactions would be hives, itchy skin, congestion, swelling in throat-eyes-lips-skin, etc.) You could also have been going thru some kind of anixety at the same time when you ate the peanuts and it's not the peanuts afterall.
Many moons ago, I was told that my anxiety are "anticipatory anxiety" - in other words, I make myself get anxiety by worrying about being anxious/nervous [such a basket case, huh?]. If you love peanuts and don't really want to give it up, do a test - eat a few peanuts again and see what happens...
Take care,
molly

It is so remarkable to read a post and see that I am not crazy. The carb problem you are having is exactly what happened to me the past few months. I had to change my diet to include alot more protein. The carbs made me feel so bad...overheated, fatigued, my digestive track was so off that I cut them way back. The plus was I lost a bunch of weight and felt better. This last month I am feeling better eating carbs again. I did go off bcp but am not sure that this was the solution. Now I am eating too many and have to watch it. Anyway hope this will pass for you soon. Feel good!
