My friend gained a lot of weight during last semester. Over the summer she's had an office job which took her 4 hours to walk to and from every weekday (she's a fairly fast walker too). She said she ate cereal every moring for breakfast, took ryvita with toppings to work each day and when she got home she would have a rice or pasta based meal.
She said that by doin this she was still gaining weight. Why?
Im pretty sure that if i had folled this regine, i would have lost weight. Why didn't she? Do you think she was having big portions?

Do you think she was having big portions? There could be a coupple of diffrent things she might be eatting to big of portions, but it sounds to me that she isn't getting a balanced diet. She is mainly eatting foods from the bread and grain group but nothing else. Also she may not be getting enough calories, your body needs at least 1200 calories a day if you don't reach this then your body thinks it is starving and starts to store the fat. Also make sure she drinks enough water so that she doesn't get dehydrated. Hope this helps.

yeah, it does sound like she was eating to little come to think of it. Its a bit odd how she didn't lose any initial weight though isn't it?
