I am 33 and recently diagnosed with Osteoperosis (-2.5) after a fracture in my foot did not heal for more than a year. No steroid use, I am not anorexic, and hormone/thyroid tests were negative. I have been on Fosamax for 7 weeks but am very concerned about the effects it may have on my ability to have children (I was planning on trying to get pregnant this year, but have been told by OBGYN that I simply cannot risk it right now). I have not been able to find ANY information about women successfully having children after a couple of years of treatment with Fosamax. I doubt I am the only one in this situation and really need some information! Am I fooling myself that I will still be able to have children one day??
Thanks for any help at all!!

I'm 27 and have wondered the same thing. I haven't read anything about successful childbirth after the drug, though. I think it's almost always prescribed with older women who have passed their childbearing years, so they just don't have much info to go on for people in our age group.
